Having blank thoughts in your head what to draw when you open your sketchbook? You're not alone.
Having blank thoughts in your mind doesn't means you don't know drawing, this use to happen with me at my early days. There r some proven ways which I tried and helped me a lot.
So if you're trying to improve your sketchbook, keep on reading
1. EXPERIMENT IN DIFFERENT MEDIUMS:
Try to draw a simple object in different mediums, try to experiment with them. Don't worry if it doesn't looks perfect, the more you try new things the more eager you become to do more creative stuffs.

2. DO DOODLE AWAY :
It literally happens to us when we talk to someone in the phone holding a pen on the other hand, we use to scribble, we draw different shapes, forms in a free way . At the end we realise "Wow!! It looks pretty fascinating". This is because our minds were more free at that time and our hands moves in a comfortable manner and our mind makes our hand feels more free to draw anything. When we usually try to draw on a white and neat page we become more concious about it and hesitate to draw something which is new .Try to improve your hands and mind coordination by doodling away , the more we doodle the more comfortable our hands become to perform a movement. This is because doodling keeps our hands move in different angles, makes it more comfortable to draw straight lines, curves , shapes , etc,.

3.SHAPE TRANSFORMATION:
This is a very fun activity I use to do , it's a bit creative and fun type. This is easy as a pie.
Draw different geometrical shapes, try to build facial structures in them or build them as an object as like e.g: a cube into a Jewellery box or a cylinder into a huge building or a cube in to a cartoon face or a triangle into a gun or many more creative things to draw!! This is really fun, trust me . I've tried it and it benefitted me a lot to think more critically and to draw more creatively and made my sketchbook look more prepossessing.
Exercise to do students:-
Exercise 1:
grab the colours, marker pens and whatever on your desktop and draw the same drawing in different mediums
Exercise 2:
fetch your fine liners and sketchbook and start doodling right now!!
Exercise 3:
what stopping you to draw creative cartoons and stuffs go ahead and experiment!!
